How do I learn Advanced Magic Tricks?

I really want to learn magic ticks, but not just simple “Pick a card” things like that. I want to learn really cool things like making someone disspear from a glass box, or where their clothes change from one outfit to another really fast, stuff like that. I was just wondering where you go to learn this stuff? Books, websites, anything that would help. If you know anything please tell me. Thank you!

At the risk of giving you an answer you’re not going to like, let me say that what you have expressed is a desire to learn to play mozart before you know where “middle C” is. That being said, it sounds like you’re looking to learn mostly stage illusions. There is a chapter on stage illusions in the back of Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic. I’d start there. Another benefit of that particular book is that it teaches some less expensive magic as well. You do need to master a lot of fundamental principles that will stand you in good stead as your career in magic develops. What’s more, some of the simpler magic actually gets better reactions from audiences! Michael Ammar, a well-respected expert in magic once said, “Never underestimate the power of even the simplest magic.” My advice would be learn to crawl before you learn to run.
